As Germany prepares to mark the 35th anniversary of the Berlin Wall’s fall, the Berlin Wall Foundation has embarked on an innovative project to gather personal accounts from witnesses of that era. Using a cargo bike equipped with recording equipment, the foundation is seeking diverse stories from residents across the city. Participants like 85-year-old Klaus Walter and 72-year-old Michaela share their emotional memories, highlighting the importance of preserving history for future generations. Their stories will be featured online and in select exhibitions along the East Side Gallery, the longest remaining segment of the wall.
