This marks a significant increase over its previous record set in March. Concurrently, the U.S. dollar gained 1.5% against the euro and yen, reflecting similar electoral prospects. In contrast, oil prices declined amid ongoing uncertainties, with U.S. crude dropping 23 cents to $71.66 per barrel and Brent crude falling 39 cents to $75.14 per barrel.
