Rescue services have recovered the body of a woman missing for 11 days in Galway Bay. Máire Ní Fhátharta, 32, was reported missing from Silverstrand beach on November 12. Search efforts included aerial surveillance by the Coast Guard and extensive coastline searches involving hundreds of volunteers and RNLI crews. The body, not yet formally identified, has been transported to University Hospital Galway for a post mortem examination.
