Breakthrough in Multiple Sclerosis Treatment Shows Promising Results

A new experimental therapy, Diaprotectome, developed by a team led by neuroscientist Steven Petratos at Monash University, offers hope for millions suffering from Multiple Sclerosis (MS). This treatment aims to repair damage within the Central Nervous System, showing remarkable success in preclinical trials where paralyzed lab animals regained mobility. Diaprotectome is designed to halt further damage to myelin and promote its regeneration. Clinical trials are set to begin soon in Australia and Greece, potentially benefiting around 400 patients and opening paths for enhanced MS management worldwide.
