A Bulgarian woman was sentenced to two months in prison and 22 months suspended for defrauding an 80-year-old resident in Almyros, Greece. Posing as the victim’s daughter, she fabricated a story about hitting a minor in a car accident, demanding €50,000 to avoid complaints. The elderly woman managed to gather €2,550, which she handed over to an accomplice. Although the defendant claimed she was a victim of another scammer, the court found her guilty of complicity in the crime.
