Bundeswehr Dismisses 62 Soldiers Over Right-Wing Extremism
The Bundeswehr has dismissed 62 soldiers for right-wing extremist behavior, as revealed by Germany’s Ministry of Defense. The dismissals include 41 enlisted personnel, 11 non-commissioned officers, and 10 officers. In addition, 94 applicants were rejected in 2023 due to concerns about their loyalty to the constitution. The ministry reported 205 incidents related to extremist, racist, or anti-Semitic behavior within the Bundeswehr, highlighting ongoing issues with extremism in the military ranks.
