Cancer Charity Thief Ordered to Repay £70,000 to Charities
Lindsay MacCallum, a 61-year-old woman, has been ordered to repay over £70,000 after embezzling funds from Rainbow Valley, a charity set up in memory of her friend’s daughter, and from the Anthony Nolan Trust. After pleading guilty to fraud charges and serving a three-year jail sentence, MacCallum was found to have stolen £95,483.48 in total. Despite her financial stability with £175,000 in personal wealth, she has only repaid £25,000, and a confiscation order was issued for the remaining amount.
