Cancer Charity Thief Ordered to Repay Over £70,000
Lindsay MacCallum, 61, was ordered by a court to repay £70,483.48 after stealing from the cancer charity Rainbow Valley and the Anthony Nolan Trust. Over a decade, MacCallum defrauded the charities she co-founded with her friend Angela MacVicar, embezzling a total of £95,483.48. Despite her financial stability, the former Royal Navy servicewoman was jailed for three years in October after pleading guilty to fraud. The case continues as officials seek to recover the stolen funds for the charities.
