A car bomb detonated today in Manbij, Aleppo province, northern Syria, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to four others, reports local station Sham FM. The explosion set off a fire that spread to nearby vehicles and caused damage to buildings. Responsibility for the attack has not yet been claimed. Clashes in the area have intensified following the ousting of President Bashar al-Assad, as Turkish-backed Syrian National Army forces took control of Manbij from the Syrian Democratic Forces, which are also counterattacking to regain control.
