Ottavia Piana, a cave explorer, suffered injuries after falling in an unexplored section of a cave in the Alps. Experts estimate it will take five days to rescue her from the depths of 585 meters, where she became trapped after slipping on a rock. This incident comes after a similar rescue was required during the summer of 2023 in the same cave. Piana was part of a team working on the Sebino Project, focused on geomorphological mapping. Medical personnel are currently on site to assist.
