A commemorative event at the Citizens’ Theatre marked the 50th anniversary of the Holy Metropolis of Peristeri and the 90-year journey of the municipality. Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew received the city’s Medal of Honor from Mayor Andreas Pachatouridis. He expressed gratitude for those who contributed to the establishment and development of the metropolis and municipality, while the event featured tributes to the city’s history and its former bishops. The evening included traditional dances and gifts presented by local students.
