Epiphany was celebrated with great splendor in Agios Nikolaos, Crete. The religious ceremonies began with the Morning Service, followed by the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Cathedral of the Holy Trinity. A procession accompanied by the Philharmonic Band led to the harbor, where the traditional blessing of the waters took place with the throwing of the Cross into the sea.
