Celebrating John Cassavetes: A New Monograph Honors the Director’s Legacy
The Panhellenic Union of Film Critics, in collaboration with the 37th Panorama of European Cinema, has released a monograph dedicated to famed director John Cassavetes. This publication includes contributions from several prominent figures, assessing Cassavetes’ influence on independent cinema and his films, including an analysis of music’s role in his debut, ‘Shadows.’ It also pays tribute to his late wife and actress, Gena Rowlands, highlighting their collaboration in various films. The book is designed by Thanos Pappas and Nicoletta Antonopoulou.
