Celebrating St. Spyridon: The Miracle-Worker of Cyprus

On December 12, we honor the memory of St. Spyridon, known for his miracles and virtues. Born in 270 AD in Cyprus, Spyridon initially worked as a shepherd before becoming a revered priest and bishop. He played a significant role at the First Ecumenical Council in Nicaea, defending Orthodox faith against the Arians. His life was marked by humility and love for others. St. Spyridon passed away on December 12, 350 AD, and his relics are venerated in Corfu with four processions a year.
