On November 24, 2024, Greece will commemorate National Resistance Day, honoring the efforts against occupying forces from 1941 to 1944 and the anniversary of the Battle of Gorgopotamos. This day is a tribute to those who fought against Nazism and Fascism, established by Greek law in 1982. Ceremonies will include a general flag display, religious services, speeches from representatives of resistance organizations, and wreath-laying at monuments across Central Macedonia, notably in Thessaloniki.
