The celebration of Theophany in Katerini took place with great solemnity, highlighted by the ceremonial diving for the Holy Cross. Under the auspices of Metropolitan Georgios and amidst a large crowd, a procession featuring the local Philharmonic and soldiers led to the cross’s ceremonial drop into the Thermaic Gulf. Young Ioannis-Goulian Zymeri was fortunate enough to retrieve the cross. The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Deputy Minister Anna Mani-Papadimitriou and Pieria Regional Governor Sofia Mavridou.
