On January 6, 2025, the Feast of Theophany will be celebrated around Lake Polyfytos in the Kozani Regional Unit. The water blessing ceremony will be led by Bishop Christoforos of Amphipolis. Other ceremonies will take place in several locations including the Municipality of Voio and Ptolemaida’s swimming pool. Unique traditions such as the ‘Kyrialeison’ will be observed in the village of Karpero, where youth carry sacred items through the fields to bless the land as part of the festivities.
