A cultural event honoring the heroic Polytechnic uprising and those who sacrificed their lives 51 years ago took place in the Koliri community, Greece. Members of the Cultural Association ‘Kolirian Earth’ gathered despite harsh cold to convey powerful messages of democracy. Association President Vasía Sperdouli emphasized the unity of those who restored democracy through their sacrifices. Attendees, including Pyrgos City Council President Dimitris Messalas, participated in a symbolic tree planting, naming a plane tree ‘Freedom.’
