Chair of BBC’s Children in Need Resigns Over LGBT Charity Grants Controversy
Rosie Millard, chair of BBC’s Children in Need charity, has resigned following concerns over funding awarded to LGBT Youth Scotland, a charity linked to a child abuse scandal. Millard accused the organization of ‘institutional failure’ after it granted £466,000 to the charity whose former chief, James Rennie, was convicted of child sex offenses. Following her resignation, Children in Need announced a review of its processes, while Millard pointed out a lack of due diligence from the charity’s leadership.
