The Chania Municipality has announced a new debt repayment plan allowing residents to settle outstanding dues in up to 60 installments. This is the first program of its kind since 2019 and is aimed at helping those with verified debts by offering a deadline for applications until January 31, 2025. The minimum installment is set at €50, and various discounts on additional charges are available based on repayment timelines. The plan also includes options for vulnerable debtors and the possibility of applying through a digital platform or in person at the municipality’s office.
