On December 26, a Greek Coast Guard patrol boat detected a speedboat disembarking foreign nationals near Lesbos. The speedboat fled towards Turkish shores, leading to a chase where it attempted to collide with the patrol vessel. The incident resulted in injuries to a Coast Guard member. Ultimately, the speedboat was stopped, and two suspects aged 31 and 25 were arrested. Police operations in the area also led to the identification of thirty foreigners, who were transferred to a temporary reception center.
