On Christmas Day, significant disruptions were reported on French rail services due to a possible suicide by a TGV train conductor who jumped from a moving train. The incident affected more than 3,000 travelers on the line connecting Paris to southeastern France. French railway company SNCF stated that automatic safety measures ensured the train stopped, while an investigation into the circumstances of the conductor’s death has been launched.
