Christmas Travel Surge from Major Cities in Greece
The Christmas travel season is reaching its peak in Greece as approximately 40,000 cars have left Thessaloniki for regional destinations. Traffic congestion is noted at various tolls, with 15,000 vehicles departing from Malgara tolls, 10,000 from Analipsi, and 7,500 heading to Chalkidiki. Authorities are urging drivers to exercise caution and have implemented truck traffic bans over 3.5 tons for the holiday period.
