On December 9, the central Christmas tree in Tripoli will be illuminated, as announced by Deputy Mayor Eleni Karountzou during a municipal council meeting. The event will feature a concert by popular singer Ilia Vrettos and will coincide with the 2nd Santa Walk in Tripoli. The Christmas and New Year event program includes various activities, preparations for which are nearly complete, and a Christmas Village will open in Areos Square on December 18, 2024.
