In the small village of Krios, located in the Triangle of Orestiada, a Christmas tree was lit for the first time in decades, bringing joy to the remaining seven residents. The Mayor of Orestiada attended the event, which also saw participation from former residents now living elsewhere. The village, like much of northern Evros, faces significant demographic challenges with a declining population.
