Two environmental organizations, Friends of the Earth and Greenpeace UK, will assist in the appeal of five climate protestors sentenced for disrupting traffic on the M25 motorway. Just Stop Oil founder Roger Hallam received a five-year term, while the others received four years. The groups argue the sentences infringe on human rights and reflect the chilling impact of previous anti-protest laws in the UK. The appeal is expected to be heard at the end of January.
