Comcast plans to spin off its NBCUniversal cable television networks, which include channels like MSNBC, CNBC, USA, E!, Syfy, and the Golf Channel. This decision comes as traditional media companies face challenges from streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime. The spin-off, set to be announced on Wednesday, will create a new company while Comcast retains its NBC broadcast network, film and television studios, theme parks, and the Peacock streaming service, which collectively generated $7 billion in revenue last year.
