Commemoration Event in Chania Marks 81st Anniversary of Anti-Fascist Resistance
The Chania branch of the Panhellenic Union of Fighters of National Resistance – Democratic Army of Greece (PEAEA – DSEE) invites the public to a commemoration event on January 12, honoring the end of the violent actions of the fascist Subert Battalion in 1944. The event, supported by local authorities, aims to celebrate the heroism of local resistance fighters against fascism during the threefold occupation of Greece.
