Commemoration of Saints on December 10: The Story of Mina of Athens
On December 10, the memory of Saints Mina of Athens, Hermogenes of Alexandria, and Eugraphus is honored. Mina, originally a pagan, converted to Christianity after discovering its truths. Despite being appointed governor of Alexandria by Emperor Maximinus, he opposed the persecution of Christians. He, along with Hermogenes, who tortured him, ultimately converted, and all three were martyred for their faith. The day also marks the International Human Rights Day and the World Property Day.
