Commemoration of the 51st Anniversary of the Polytechnic Uprising in Larissa
On Sunday afternoon, the Labor Center of Larissa commemorated the 51st anniversary of the Polytechnic Uprising, with participation from various unions, farmers, youth groups, retirees, political parties, and collectives. In her speech, Athena Angelaki, president of the Food and Tourism Union of Larissa, called for participation in a nationwide strike set for November 20. The event concluded with a march through the central streets of Larissa, where participants burned the European Union flag while chanting anti-war slogans, under the watch of police forces.
