Compensation for Livestock Farmers Affected by Diseases in Greece

Recently, compensation payments were made to livestock farmers in Greece who suffered losses due to peste des petits ruminants and bluetongue disease. Spiros Zacharias, the responsible deputy regional governor of Peloponnese, announced that focused efforts were made to disburse a total of over one million euros by December 23, primarily benefiting farms in Corinthia that were affected by the outbreaks. A total of 45 farms received compensation, and additional support will be available for farmers looking to rebuild their herds.
