The Hellenic Centre for Marine Research has issued a negative opinion on the proposed offshore wind farm in the Thrakikos Sea, following similar concerns from the Institute of Fisheries Research. The project could significantly impact local fishing grounds, with the wind farm occupying valuable marine space crucial for the Mediterranean’s fishing industry, particularly affecting the waters near Alexandroupolis and Samothrace.
