Concerns Raised Over Psychological Evaluations of Greek Police Officers
Around 5,500 Greek police officers have been deemed unfit to carry weapons following psychological evaluations, according to Thanasis Katerinopoulos, former president of the Greek Police Officers Association. He emphasizes the necessity for frequent assessments, as the current law mandates evaluations every five years. Katerinopoulos suggests that the evaluation process is flawed and calls for immediate changes to ensure better psychological support for officers, especially those exhibiting problematic behavior.
