Concerns Raised Over Working Conditions of Filipino Workers in Greece

Filipino workers in Greece, represented by Ronald Macarthy, have criticized their working conditions, highlighting unpaid overtime and exploitative contracts. Many Filipinos pay up to €3,000 to secure jobs but face mandatory return to their home country at the end of tourist season, incurring significant travel costs. With over 5,000 Filipinos employed across Greece, calls for legislative changes to ensure fair treatment and legal rights have intensified. A memorandum has been submitted to local authorities addressing these issues, and further actions by the Northern Dodecanese Labor Center are anticipated to support these workers.
