The Board of the Regional Union of Municipalities of Thessaly expressed significant concern over planned mergers of municipal water companies and the unification of waste management networks. During a meeting in Trikala, mayors voiced opposition and discussed the financial strain on municipalities due to increased energy costs and waste disposal fees. A resolution addressing these issues will be presented at a joint meeting with the Central Union of Municipalities on December 4 in Larissa.
