The construction of the new General Hospital in Komotini, named after Stavros Niarchos, is progressing within the planned timelines, with significant milestones already achieved. According to Pano Papoulias, Executive Director of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, the foundation’s concrete is nearly complete and work is 45% done on the above-ground floor. The hospital aims to adhere to cutting-edge environmental standards and is expected to be among Greece’s top hospitals upon completion in November 2026.
