The construction contract for the Waste Treatment Unit in Corfu is anticipated to be signed within the first half of 2025, according to Manolis Grafakos, General Secretary for Waste Management Coordination at the Ministry of Environment and Energy. Contracts for significant units in various cities, including Thessaloniki, Athens, and Agrinio, are also expected to be finalized this year. The new recycling promotion law (5151/24) will commence application alongside energy utilization initiatives in 2025.
