Following Foodwatch’s initiative, consumer association CLCV has filed a complaint in Paris against major bottled water producers, including Nestlé and Alma. The complaint, submitted in mid-October, argues that the illegal treatment of mineral waters violates consumer rights and constitutes deceptive practices. This action targets both fraud and misleading commercial practices. Previously, the Épinal prosecutor’s office had settled a related case with Nestlé financially. CLCV is urging the Paris public health prosecutor to launch a preliminary investigation to assess potential health risks to consumers.
