Continued Compensation Payments for Farmers Affected by Animal Diseases in Greece
The Greek Ministry of Rural Development and Food confirmed ongoing compensation payments for farmers impacted by livestock diseases, specifically due to the outbreak of African Swine Fever and Sheep Pox. A total of €7.6 million has been credited to regional accounts for disbursement to eligible farmers. Since the initiation of these payments on December 3, the total amount allocated for compensations exceeds €13.3 million, ensuring support for farmers and coverage of regional expenses.
