Coroner Identifies Ambulance Delay as Factor in Motorcyclist’s Death

The death of 31-year-old motorcyclist Aaron Morris on July 1, 2022, has been attributed partly to a severe delay in ambulance response, as stated by Coroner Crispin Oliver. Morris suffered critical injuries after a collision with a car in Esh Winning, near Durham, but had to wait 54 minutes for medical assistance due to high demand on the ambulance service. An expert testified that timely treatment could have increased his chances of survival to 95%.
