Crown of Thorns Returned to Notre-Dame Cathedral After Devastating Fire

The Crown of Thorns, believed to have been worn by Jesus Christ at his crucifixion, has been returned to Notre-Dame Cathedral following extensive renovations after a fire destroyed much of the historic site in 2019. The relic was rescued by firefighters and police and has been housed at the Louvre Museum during restoration efforts. A ceremonial procession led by Archbishop of Paris Laurent Ulrich marked its return, with the crown now protected in a newly constructed reliquary.
