Cyprus has responded to comments made by Antonis Samaras regarding ‘chitchat’ at the meeting between President Nikos Christodoulides and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, attended by Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama. Victor Papadopoulos, Director of the President’s Office, emphasized that the discussions were substantive and confirmed Cyprus’s commitment to direct dialogue with Turkey concerning the ongoing Cyprus issue.
