Damascus Airport to Resume International Flights After Nearly 13 Years
Syria’s Damascus International Airport is set to resume international flights starting next Tuesday, a significant development following the cessation of commercial air travel 13 years ago due to the civil war. The Syrian Aviation Authority has announced that all international airlines are now welcome, with Qatar Airways confirming three weekly flights from Doha. Domestic flights and flights carrying humanitarian aid had continued amidst the conflict, but commercial operations have been largely suspended until now.
