David Digan’s Journey Towards a Robotic Prosthetic After Life-Altering Accident
David Digan, a former commercial diver, faced life-changing injuries after a motorbike accident in 2018, leading to the amputation of his left arm. Despite his challenges, including chronic pain and loss of independence, he remains hopeful as he participates in a trial in Vienna for a robotic arm prosthetic. This innovative procedure aims to restore movement and reduce phantom pain by connecting a prosthetic to his remaining shoulder muscles. Fundraising efforts are underway to cover travel and accommodation for treatments, as David looks forward to regaining a sense of normalcy in life.
