The school building that housed the Kindergarten and Primary School in Dendron, Tyrnavos, has been demolished following its designation as unsafe after the earthquakes in March 2021. Mayor Stefanos Tsikritsis highlighted the symbolic nature of the demolition and the plans to construct a new, modern school complex with the assistance of the Public Power Corporation (DEH). This follows a similar demolition planned for another unsafe school in Platanoules, ensuring students have safe facilities after being accommodated in a former NATO base since the earthquakes.
