Dietmar Woidke Re-elected as Prime Minister of Brandenburg

Dietmar Woidke has been re-elected as the Prime Minister of Brandenburg after a second voting round in the state parliament, following a failed first attempt. Woidke, a member of the SPD, secured 50 votes in the second round, forming a coalition with the newly established Bündnis Sahra Wagenknecht (BSW). This marks Woidke’s fourth term in office, continuing a trend of SPD leadership in the state since 1990.
