Dire Refugee Situation at South Sudan Borders Amid Sudan Conflict

Doctors Without Borders (MSF) has warned of an unbearable situation at the South Sudan borders where over 5,000 refugees cross daily to escape intensified violence in Sudan. Since April 2023, a war has erupted between the Sudanese army, led by General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, and paramilitary forces led by General Mohamed Hamdan Daglo. The influx has overwhelmed resources in the city of Renk, leading to critical shortages of food, shelter, and medical care for displaced individuals.
