Discovery of Decomposed Bodies near Sayyida Zeinab Shrine in Syria
Syrian rescue organization, the White Helmets, announced the discovery of decomposed bodies and human remains in a warehouse near the revered Sayyida Zeinab mausoleum in southern Damascus. Reports of foul odors led to the investigation. Ammar al-Salmo, a White Helmets official, noted the presence of decaying bodies in a refrigerator and stated an estimated twenty victims were found, with indications linking them to Alep-Hraytan. Efforts will be made to identify the victims through DNA testing.
