A rescue operation off the northeastern coast of Samos led to the successful recovery of 35 individuals, including 13 men, 7 women, and 15 minors, from a stranded speedboat. The group, all foreign nationals, was transported safely to the port of Malagari, where they were handed over to the authorities. The Afghan national, identified as the smuggler, was arrested for illegal entry and human trafficking. An investigation is underway by the Samos Port Authority, with the vessel and a mobile device seized as evidence.
