Three documentaries are in development regarding Luigi Mangioni, the suspect in the murder of Brian Thompson, CEO of UnitedHealthcare. Directed by Oscar-winning Alex Gibney, one project will explore the societal implications of the murder, while another, led by Dan Abrams, will investigate Mangioni’s background and the psychological factors at play. Mangioni, 26, allegedly committed the murder with a ghost gun and was arrested shortly after. His case has sparked discussions on health insurance issues and income inequality in the U.S.
